High-quality building materials
In Wippingen, Smals Germany extracts sand that meets the specific requirements of various customers, from road construction companies to concrete and asphalt producers. Thanks to its favourable location near the border, the sand can be efficiently delivered to projects in both Germany and the Netherlands.
At our Wippingen production site, the sand is dredged layer by layer using a suction dredger, while the surrounding landscape is carefully protected. Part of the sand is processed through a classification facility into different end products, and part is directly deposited at the storage site. In this way, Smals supplies high-quality construction materials without compromising on environmental or safety standards.
In the coming years, a major upgrade of the production site will take place, including the relocation from the ‘North Lake’ to the ‘South Lake’. This will allow us to continue supplying our high-quality construction materials to current and future customers.
