


This was made possible thanks to the thorough preparation and the expertise of the on-site team, which worked professionally under winter conditions.
The dredger is now stably positioned in front of the hydroelectric power plant and ready for operations. As in previous decades, the sediment trap for the dam is carefully emptied. This prevents gravel and sediment from reaching the turbines, which is essential for the reliable operation of the hydroelectric facility.
Regular maintenance of the sediment trap ensures continuous water flow and secures energy generation. Through these activities, Smals once again contributes to the sustainable operation of hydroelectric installations and the responsible management of river systems.
