A dynamic piece by local artist Juul Baltussen, full of symbolism; it moves with the wind and reflects the transformation of the area.
The artwork was commissioned by the Municipality of Land van Cuijk to further enhance and highlight the attractiveness of the area. In celebration of our 140-year anniversary, we were proud to contribute to its creation – the connection between people, water, and nature is part of our DNA.
During the unveiling, alderman Maarten Jilisen emphasized the importance of a healthy and attractive living environment and highlighted Smals’ contribution to establishing the Kraaijenbergse Plassen as a unique recreation and nature area. Poems by the children of Dr. Jan de Quay Primary School and the kwarTAAL poet made the event even more special.
With the Kameleon, Natuurpunt Beers now has a new, powerful symbol that unites the past, present, and future of this unique landscape.
