Maintenance dredging at Cadzand marina
Cadzand marina is a popular destination for domestic and international recreational boaters, particularly in spring and summer. To ensure the marina remains fully accessible, regular maintenance dredging is essential.

Due to natural silting from the channel behind and the North Sea, we ensure that the harbour is restored to its full depth. This keeps both the moorings and the access safe and easily navigable.

When weather conditions permit, the sand outside the harbour is also addressed, so that the accessibility of this beautifully situated harbour can be maximised.

Sustainability plays an important role in this: the dredged material, which is native to the area, is returned behind the breakwater, where it is reintegrated into the ecosystem.

Thanks to the flexibility of our 10-inch cutter suction dredger, the work can be carried out efficiently without the need to move pontoons. Using the swivel ladder, we can easily dredge underneath the pontoons.
