Resort Marina Oolderhuuske is often referred to as “the pearl of the Maasplassen.” Royal Smals developed this unique area in a stunning setting. The resort is located in the middle of 3,000 hectares of artificially created Maasplassen near Roermond, in the south of the Netherlands. It is the perfect location for both short and long holidays to explore the rivers and canals.
This beautiful resort is a popular holiday destination and features a luxury marina, floating homes – the so-called Marinas – and villas. In addition, it includes a harbour, a five-star campsite, tennis courts, a golf driving range, and a high-quality restaurant. Its location, only ten kilometres from the German and Belgian borders, makes it an attractive destination for tourists.
The Maas resort was developed and constructed by Royal Smals. The area is literally “born from gravel.” While the location was excavated for gravel extraction for the construction sector, Royal Smals simultaneously developed and realised the holiday park. With this project, Royal Smals demonstrated a strong, integrated vision to create an entirely new landscape, full of amenities for residents and visitors.
