At Royal Smals, we work daily to extract and produce these essential raw materials – in a way that is sustainable, innovative and future-oriented. In order to realize our growing projects and new developments, we are looking for a Projectleader Building Materials who knows how to connect technology, people and projects.
The challenge
As a Projectleader Building Materials, you will play a key role in the development of our sand extraction sites and installations in the Netherlands and Germany. You ensure that new projects are successfully carried out from idea to realization. You will lead new construction and improvement projects of installations, supervise technical developments and work closely with colleagues from production, technology and management.
In addition, you will be responsible for the production of a sand extraction system. You analyse the soil structure and translate this into the optimal way to extract raw materials and process them into high-quality products for our customers.

What will you do?

Leading new construction and installation projects within our sand extraction sites
+
Coordinating technical projects from concept to realization
+
Optimizing production processes within sand extraction
+
Collaboration with production, technology and management
+
Analyzing geological data and translating it into a production approach
+
Monitoring schedule, budget and project progress
+
Contributing to innovations and sustainable developments within Royal Smals

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and raw materials. Someone who gets energy from complex issues and who knows how to translate technical possibilities into practical solutions.
You are a project leader who keeps an overview, knows how to connect people and actually realizes projects.
You have:
+
A college or university degree (e.g. Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
+
More than 5 years of experience in managing projects, preferably in a technical or industrial environment
+
Affinity with sectors such as infrastructure, concrete industry, hydraulic engineering or raw material production
+
Technical insight in the field of process engineering, geology or installations
+
Experience with software such as PDS, QGIS or Autocad (advantage)
+
Good organizational and communication skills
+
Proficiency in Dutch and preferably German
+
A VOL-VCA diploma (or willingness to obtain it) and a driver's license
